  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Hmmm, first reply, now you have proven that you cannot count either, maybe such math is too advanced for your mental age.

Between the OP and this quoted post, you have replied 15 times in this thread.

Get your phobias right. Agoraphobia is the fear of large open spaces, crowds, large social events, even things like bridges and canyons. It has nothing to do with a fear of reality. WTF are you talking about?

i've known people who had a slight case of agoraphobia and they were
always afraid to hear about reality things that were negative, it upset
them to hear it. what do you think makes them that way anyway?

they are afraid to face things, and avoid it.

As someone with a slight to moderate case of Agoraphobia, I can tell you it has nothing to do with a fear of reality. It's a matter of not liking/trusting people. And the fact that large crowds are noisy, chaotic, and a situation where I have no control.

It's nothing to do with a fear of reality. And everything to do with knowing I have no control over other people and how they act/react to things. So I don't like being around lots of people. Add in that usually large crowds mean large events and people are usually over-excited or drinking...ugh hate it.

WELL, FOR ME THE COP WOULD HAVE TO SHOW ME THAT HE KNOWS HOW TO USE HIS NIGHTSTICK before i'd be interested

and then he'd have to lick my toes

and then i'd go out with him sure, if he used his nightstick well

how do you know this applies to most with it?
please don't tell me you studied it in college
or are directly involved with it through your profession.
EVERYONE CLAIMS THAT ON THE NET.

i know it has a large part to do with people that experience
a lot of hate and usually violence from others and/or see it.
yet people who start to get like this I have noticed are very
unaware of many things and avoid reality because it stresses them
out. they are not emotionally strong minded people once
the phobia kicks in. that's why people and reality bug them.
this is caused from never having many friends or none. so
they only see people at work and in public, but never in a
    personal manner really.
they are often ingrates i notice. they don't appreciate many things
and don't care. maybe the depression causes that.

none of the above. I just know it from some groups I've been in over the years and talking with a few professionals about the issue. Your assumptions don't jive with any Agoraphobics I've met other than having negative experiences. Obviously the phobia is triggered by something. The rest of what you say just sounds like total bullshit based on my experience and others I've talked to that are afflicted and those I've gone to for treatment.

and I think you have it backwards. People don't become agoraphobic from not having friends. They have trouble making or keeping friends because of the agoraphobia.

I will ask Lucy Van Pelt, because she knows all about the different kinds of phobias. :)

sounds to me like you don't want to face the real reality of things.
people don't like when the truth hurts so they deny it all and
are very stubborn about even considering other possibilities.
i didn't say it's caused from solely not having friends, but a
mixture of the things i mention.

The reality of what? What am I denying? I know exactly why I'm mildly agoraphobic. And I know that your opinion of why is neither accurate or grounded in anything but your assumptions. All I'm telling you is that is has nothing to do with a fear of reality. I just plain don't like people as a whole. There are specific persons that I let into my life. But I'm very selective and careful. It has nothing to do with facing reality and everything to do with refusing to put myself in situations that have previously left me feeling not so great.

How is that a fear of reality? I don't avoid these situations because I'm afraid there will be an earthquake or a riot or something. I avoid them because I don't like people. That's not to say I never leave my house or go to large events. But if I don't HAVE to, then I don't. I don't know a person on the planet who would do something they don't want to if they don't have to. So how is it any different from someone who won't bungee jump or sky dive?

YOU'RE specific case may be different. MAY BE...
but i doubt it is all. these sort of things have roots and are often
forgot about if the problem started years ago to what it has
    evolved into now.
facing the reality of that is often too difficult. maybe you should stop
now with this. i know that's hard to do with peoples pride though.

I already conceded that I agree there is usually some event that is the cause of agoraphobia. I never argued that. I'm simply stating that I have yet to encounter one person with agoraphobia or one professional that treats agoraphobia that sees it as an avoidance of reality.

Granted, some psychological afflictions can lead to agoraphobia (paranoid schizophrenia for one). But that has nothing to do with the ailment of agoraphobia. I think you're confusing cause with effect. Agoraphobia can be a result of many things. But the phobia itself is not defined as a fear of reality. HOWEVER a fear of reality might lead to agoraphobia.

I'm guessing you just have a bad case of putting the cart before the horse.
